Handmade Gift Exchange Part 2
I am excited to share what I made for this years Handmade Gift Exchange. I'm sorry the pictures are so bad. Unfortunately, we had a week of rain and I could never grab a good picture before I needed to get it into the mail.
I decided to make a craft apron with a sweet little pocket that can be used to store scissors or any other crafty tidbit. I had so much fun choosing the fabric combination for this. I have a huge love of polka dots and I love this combination. Special thanks to Amelia, my dress form. ;)
So without further ado...
I also included a little pincushion. I just love making those!
Can't wait to do the next gift exchange! Maybe you all will join me?

Handmade Gift Exchange
It took a little bit of courage for me to join this year's Handmade Gift Exchange at Craftaholics Anonymous. I am so happy Linda decided to do a newbie exchange this year. I don't know about you all, but I'm always a little intimidated about sharing my work with other crafties.
Janet made me a handmade apron with a super cool pattern that looks a little like mandalas. I haven't been able to get a good picture of it yet, but I absolutely love it. Then she also sent me a stack of these handmade Christmas coasters! Aren't these soo cute?! And wrapped with baker's twine! MY FAVORITE! I just can't wait to put them out in our living room for the holidays.
Thank you Janet, my secret elf! I absolutely love everything you sent! Stay tuned for my gift for the exchange. Can't wait to share with you all what i made.
My gift is on it's way to it's new home and won't be there until tomorrow so I am going to wait to share what I made so I don't spoil the surprise. But I am really excited to share what my wonderful secret elf made for me. Thank You Janet!
It's always so fun to receive a gift in the mail, and it's even MORE fun to receive it from someone you have never met. How cool is this?

Whew!
I'm lame. November flew by without me even taking a peak at my blog. I'd like to blame it on my day-job, but honestly the month just got away from me. Does that every happen to you all? I swear, I just blinked and it was December!
The one thing I did accomplish this month was to participate in a Handmade Gift Exchange via Craftaholics Anonymous. I can't wait to share what I made and what I received!

Pumpkin Hunting
We took the kids out to Sweet Berry Farms to go pumpkin hunting this past weekend. It was a beautiful fall day in Texas and I had been waiting to take the kids out there. There is nothing better than being out in the country hunting for pumpkins and doing all things fall-y.
We packed a picnic and then partook of all the glorious fall activities. We hunted for the perfect pumpkin...
Ran through the corn maze...
Picked some beautiful flowers...
Made a handsome friend...
And of course, we couldn't resist being a little silly...
All in all, I'd say we definitely had a lot of fun! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Maddy Day
This is Maddy. AKA maddy moo, sweet puppy girl, my best puppy pal... you get the picture. :)
Maddy is the first dog I've had and to say I'm in love is an understatement. We've been together for almost 7 years and I just love her to pieces. I mean, come on! Look at that sweet face! And she has the personality to match.
For a while it was just Maddy and me, but I married into a family of 3 so the days of just me and Maddy are a rare treat that only come when I get a day off from the day-job. Today is one of those days and we are both in heaven.
We have been doing some well-deserved lazying around the house, but we also spent part of the morning enjoying the beautiful weather outside on a blanket. It's slowly turning to fall in Texas. I'll admit it's hard to tell when it's still gets to 90 degrees by the afternoon, but if you close your eyes and pay close attention you can feel that the breeze is just a little bit cooler as it passes over your skin. Just hinting at the months to come. Promising me pumpkins and spiced lattes. *sigh*
So Maddy and I spent some time enjoying the morning, lazying on a blanket, listening to the birds and feeling the breeze. Being a little nostalgic of all the times we've done this in the past and wishing for fall to hurry up. And there may have been some playing thrown in.
